Wessex Synchronised Swimming Club was formed in March 1983 and specialises
in teaching and promoting the sport of synchronised swimming. Today we have
a group of about 40 swimmers and train at Ferndown Leisure Centre and Two
Riversmeet Leisure Centre (Christchurch).

Synchro is an Olympic sport that developed from water ballet. It demands
strength, endurance, flexibility, grace, artistry and exceptional breath
control. The club takes swimmers from the age of 6 years. Swimmers progress
through a system of grades/skills and are awarded a hat, certificate and
badge at each level.
Competition is encouraged between clubs at local, county, district and national
levels. Along with our awards night and holiday courses, we host an annual
display in which our swimmers showcase their work over the past year. Team
swimming is encouraged and enjoyment and confidence in the water gained.
As a member you can become involved in as much or as little as you wish.
